Roof Washing
Professional soft washing to remove black streaks and moss from your roof.
About this service
Roof cleaning that protects your investment
Those dark streaks on your roof aren't dirt — they're Gloeocapsa magma, an algae that feeds on the limestone in asphalt shingles. Left untreated, it spreads, retains moisture, and can shorten the life of your roof.
Our roof soft washing uses a low-pressure application of specialized algaecide that kills the algae, moss, and lichen at the root. We never use high pressure on roofing, which can dislodge granules and damage shingles. The results restore your roof's original color and help protect it for years to come.
Common questions
Roof Washing questions, answered
Will pressure washing damage my roof?
We never use high pressure on roofs. Our soft washing method applies cleaning solution at low pressure — similar to rainfall — so your shingles stay intact.
What are the black streaks on my roof?
They're caused by an algae called Gloeocapsa magma. It feeds on the limestone filler in asphalt shingles and spreads across the roof over time.

"I contacted Stateline to clean my deck and they responded immediately. I had them clean my 25-year-old deck which I was thinking about replacing, but it looks like brand new now."
